About The People Network
Moving between our past and our future will always fascinate us. Our great-grandchildren of course will ask themselves similar questions and will want to know about us. But not everyone of us is keeping a diary which carefully records personal ideals, dreams, expectations and philosophies. This is one of the reasons the Felix Meritis Foundation / Gulliver have developed The People Network: a database in which biographies of European citizens are collected through a digital memory machine - creating a flexible memorial of today's Europeans. The People Network and The Berlin Conferences: "A Soul for Europe"
Thanks to The People Network, more than 70 young decision makers from all over Europe were selected and invited to participate in the international Berlin Conferences: A Soul for Europe in 2004 and 2006. The People Network provided also participants to various Forums and other projects across Europe. The active participation of these young Europeans in these activities has been widely appreciated.
