Workshop Diversity 2.0: The impact of inclusion
Workshop from Monday 20 till Wednesday 22 September in GRAD, Belgrade.
Diversity 2.0 is increasingly important in a world confronted with complex change, in terms of technology, climate, migration, demographics and globalisation.
Diversity 2.0 is the acknowledgement and respect of differences within and between groups of people. It means understanding that each individual is unique, recognizing individual differences. These can be along the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or other ideologies. Equality is the framework that enables opportunity, access, participation and contribution that is fair and inclusive. Inclusion is recognizing that we are "one" even though we are not the "same".
The workshop Diversity 2.0 consists of a balanced mix of challenging individual and team exercises, theory and inspiration. The programme is designed to facilitate a safe environment for participants to experience Diversity 2.0 and leave with raised awareness and tools for implementation in daily professional life. The workshop is specifically designed for young professionals in business, arts and culture, politics, civil society, media and academia.
Diversity 2.0 will be taught by Kirsten van den Hul (Independent change consulting services The Change Agent) and Jamila Aanzi (vice-chair FNV Jong, the youth network of the Dutch federation of trade unions).
GRAD is an initiative of Felix Meritis, Cultural Front (Belgrade), the MillenniuM (Kragujevac) and the Cultural Centre (Zrenjanin) and is financially supported by the MATRA programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands.
