To my former homeland: The best essays and reviews of Michaël Zeeman
Michaël Zeeman was a very well-known Dutch author and journalist who passed away last year. Felix Meritis, publishing house De Bezige Bij, VPRO and the daily newspaper de Volkskrant are holding a special night to commemorate him. Michaël Zeeman's name will be inaugurated in the Gallery of Honour in Felix Meritis by Frans Timmermans.
Publishing house De Bezige Bij will launch a new anthology of Zeeman's best essays and reviews in To my former homeland (Aan mijn voormalig vaderland) and broadcasting station VPRO will show parts of the compilation DVD Zeeman with authors and books. A recollection of Michaël Zeeman from the VPRO archives (Zeeman met schrijvers en boeken. Een herinnering aan Michaël Zeeman uit het VPRO-archief).
Robbert Ammerlaan, Pieter Broertjes, Steve Austen, Linda Bouws, Arjan Peters, Maarten Doorman and Annemie Vanackere will speak about their special relationship with Michaël Zeeman.
Maarten Asscher will present the evening.
