Stephen Kinzer: Turkey, Iran and the USA
Stephen Kinzer will be visiting the Netherlands at the invitation of the Turkije Instituut. On 20 May he will be speaking on Turkey, the USA and the Middle East, the subject of his forthcoming new book Reset: Iran, Turkey, and America's Future.
Kinzer is a distinguished American journalist and author. He was a New York Times correspondent in Nicaragua, Germany and Turkey for over 20 years and has written books on American interventions in Latin America and the Middle East. He also wrote Crescent and Star: Turkey Between Two Worlds (2002, revised 2008). Kinzer teaches American foreign policy at Northwestern University and is a columnist for the Guardian.
In his forthcoming book Kinzer argues for a new strategic alliance between Iran, Turkey and the United States.
