Matthias Kadar
In this first concert of four, Kadar plays and sings songs from Ramses Shaffy, Georges Brassens, Serge Gainsbourg, Jacques Brel and some of Kadar's own compositions from his new CD Oh quand je dors. He will play in the Shaffy Hall on the same piano on which Ramses Shaffy played back in the 60's.
In each edition, Feike Boschma, the famous Dutch puppeteer, will be a guest, letting the puppets play to the music.
This concert also features saxophonist Hester Cnossen (to be confirmed).

Matthias Kadar (1977) was born in Paris of Hungarian-German parents. After a short study in economics, he decided to concentrate on music and composition. Kadar studied with Christian Lauba in Bordeaux and with Theo Loevendie at the conservatory in Amsterdam. In his work, there are about two hundred pieces for most instruments including a book for piano (Der Virtuos), a book of songs for baritone voice and piano based on poems in German, Hungarian and French, a small theater piece (Cyrano) and a Concerto for violin and orchestra (Aede). Most of his works have had public performances at different festivals all over the world, like the Mahler festival in Budapest, in Ireland, Japan, USA, Salzburger Festspiele and many others.
Next concerts: 11 December, 29 January and 15 April 2012.
