Marlene van Niekerk: Agaat

The South African writer Marlene van Niekerk became widely known in the Netherlands with her novel Agaat (2004). Some reviewers see the story as a metaphor for the political relations in South Africa. A black woman takes care of a dying white woman and inherits all her possessions.

Marlene van Niekerk will talk about the making of Agaat. Moderator: Stephan Sanders (Dutch writer and publicist)
