Felix & Sofie: Does Capitalism Have a Future?
In its various guises, capitalism is the prevailing economic system in most countries today. Does capitalism still have a future? Given the current crisis, are we living in a time that calls for a Nietzschean ‘Umwertung aller Werte'? Can it face the challenge of becoming sustainable? Or is it perhaps time for a new system? During a table discussion, these and other questions will lead to an exploration of the values of capitalism from a historical, economic and philosophical point of view. With Jort Kelder (former editor Quote and opinion maker), Jan Luiten van Zanden (Professor History, Utrecht University) and Pieter Pekelharing (philosopher, University of Amsterdam).
