Europe Day 2010: Investing in Europe: Luxury or Necessity?
This year's theme of the annual Europe Day is the relation between the Netherlands and Europe. What role plays the European cooperation in times of scarse budgets and the difficult position of culture within Dutch society?

Less money for culture in the Netherlands could also mean that Dutch cultural organisations will participate less in international, European projects. Could the Netherlands therefore stay behind in the European unification process? Or does a lack of money also mean a motivation to find alternative ways; to share knowledge and join forces? Is European cooperation a luxury or a necessity?
