Culture & The City: Entrepreneurship in the Arts
In April 2009 the European Centre for Culture and Debate The City was opened in Belgrade. This summer (2-4 July), The City presents a summer course on Entrepreneurship in the arts.
Guikje Roethof (Chief Editor of PM, a Dutch magazine on politics and governance) and Farid Tabarki (Coolpolitics) will, together with young artists, develop a business and communication plan to help them start their own cultural project in the city. The students' own creative insights and skills will be used to make them function as independently as possible.
Location: The City, Belgrade (Serbia)
The City is an initiative of Felix Meritis (Amsterdam), Cultural Front (Belgrade), MillenniuM (Kragujevac) and the Cultural Centre (Zrenjanin) and is financially supported by the MATRA programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands.
